Ownershop guidelines regarding businesses
Article I - A player may own one primary business at a time unless otherwise approved by server administration.
Article II - All business operations must align with realistic roleplay standards. Using businesses strictly for money laundering or exploiting game mechanics is prohibited. You must roleplay your way into a business doing illegal activity. Government Entities and their employers/employees are prohibited from illegal activity.
Article III - Paying employees below a fair wage and/or exploiting employees is not allowed.
Article IV - Providing advertised services or goods is mandatory. False advertising is prohibited.
Article V - Taxes and operational costs must be paid on time. Failing to pay fees may result in penalties or business closure. (Failure to do this will result in RP of the business being put up for sale) Article VI - If a business is repossessed due to inactivity or rule violations, it will be resold or reassigned to an eligible player.
Article VII - Players cannot hold significant positions (e.g., Owner, Co-Owner, or General Manager) in the same business across multiple characters. Your secondary character must remain out of management for these reasons. (No high management promotions)
- Example: If one character owns "Camel Towing," another character from the same player cannot act as the General Manager or in any other management role for "Camel Towing."
Unacceptable: If your #1 character owns "Camel Towing," and your #2 character is employed as the General Manager or in any other management role for "Camel Towing." It is deemed unacceptable
Acceptable: If your #1 character owns "Camel Towing," and your #2 character is employed as a driver for "Camel Towing." It is deemed acceptable.
